Through a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer focus, AIS has consistently delivered outstanding business growth. We are also proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work, reflecting our dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and employee-driven culture where our people can thrive.
Description:
The Business Strategy Lead is responsible for driving the development and delivery of strategic business initiatives across Allianz Insurance Singapore, ensuring the company maintains strategic momentum both within and outside of the formal Allianz planning cycles. This role partners closely with the Head of Transformation, Strategy and Operations and the executive team to identify opportunities, translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, and ensure their execution across departments.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, structured problem-solving, project leadership, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development & Business Planning:
• Support the development, refinement, and communication of the company's business strategy, working alongside the executive team and functional leaders.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis, model scenarios, define strategic options, and build business cases for new growth vectors, partnerships, or capability investments.
• Lead the coordination and preparation of Allianz Insurance Singapore's Strategic Dialogue (SD) and Planning Dialogue (PD) submissions, including situational analyses, strategic direction papers, and financial plan inputs.
• Prepare strategic presentations and executive communications, including Board-level and Executive Committee materials, ensuring clarity, structure, and business relevance.
Strategic Initiative Development & Delivery:
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable enterprise KPIs and initiative roadmaps.
• Identify, develop, and propose strategic business initiatives — ensuring AIS can act on emerging opportunities with agility.
• Design and lead cross-functional initiative delivery, partnering with key functions (Underwriting, Distribution, Claims, Operations, Finance, IT) to ensure alignment and delivery of outcomes.
• Facilitate cross-departmental working groups to develop and validate strategic proposals, ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders.
Initiative Execution & Performance Tracking:
• Maintain a portfolio view of all strategic business initiatives such as ideation and creation of new insurance products or portfolio revisions and their progress against milestones, KPIs, and expected business benefits.
• Drive accountability across initiative owners, ensuring consistent follow-through between planning cycles.
• Work with various functions to consolidate, report, and analyze initiative progress in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
• Support benefit realization tracking and post-implementation reviews for completed initiatives.
• Flag risks, dependencies, and resource needs to the leadership team, recommending corrective actions where required.
