Delivery Manager — IT Risk Mitigation Programme
We're looking for a Delivery Manager to lead the next phase of a multi-year IT obsolescence reduction programme at a Tier 1 UK retail bank. This is an outcome-based engagement — we only get paid when we deliver. No delivery, no fee.
You'll direct a blended team of 10–15 KPMG consultants (on and offshore) and influence 50–100 client and third-party staff to hit hard upgrade targets across web servers, application servers, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, network and storage.
You'll own:
- End-to-end delivery of upgrade outcomes against fixed targets
- KPMG engagement financials — resource, time, profitability, risk
- Daily reporting into demanding senior client stakeholders
- Quantifying delivery risks in £ terms and driving mitigations to closure
You'll bring:
- Deep SI or complex programme delivery pedigree — not strategy consulting
- Proven track record running blended on/offshore delivery in regulated environments
- The grip and gravitas to hold third parties and matrix teams to account
- Financial fluency — commercial risk, resource management, profitability
- Resilience for a demanding, high-scrutiny client environment
This is a tough, hands on delivery role in one of the most demanding stakeholder environments in UK banking.Delivery Manager — IT Risk Mitigation Programme

- Risk management: Proactively identify delivery risks, propose mitigations, model the financial and delivery impact of each option, and drive to agreed resolution.
