Assistant Manager

Responsible for the successful delivery of data streams encompassing ingestion, transformation, governance, and business intelligence enablement. This role requires hands-on technical leadership and expertise in design and team management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sprint delivery, technical architecture, code quality assurance, and release management.

• Develop scalable data pipelines for both batch and streaming workloads, including medallion architecture and dimensional modeling.

• Establish and enforce governance controls such as metadata management, lineage tracking, data quality checks, and access policies.

• Effectively manage stakeholder expectations, project reporting, and RAID logs.

• Mentor and lead team members, define and uphold standards for naming conventions, logging, CI/CD processes, and testing protocols.

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication skills, demonstrated through the ability to convey complex technical concepts with clarity, professionalism, and poise to both technical and business audiences.

• Proven hands-on experience with Fabric Data Factory, Databricks/Spark, and SQL.

• Expertise in data modeling (star schema, Slowly Changing Dimensions), and performance tuning.

• Strong understanding of lakehouse architecture and other Microsoft Fabric components.

• Deep understanding of security best practices: service principals, managed identities, least privilege access.

• Proficiency in CI/CD using Git-based deployments for data pipelines and workspaces.
