About Distyl AI
Distyl is an applied AI technology company partnering with the world’s most ambitious institutions to rearchitect critical operations for the frontier of AI. Our customers include the largest companies in telecom, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, consumer goods, and global social organizations.
We research and deploy technologies that power AI-native operations — both for our partners and for Distyl itself. Our work spans research into self-constructing systems, the development of the most reliable execution of AI systems, and products that transform mission-critical workflows. As a result, Distyl's technologies affect some of the world's largest operations — from hundreds of millions of consumer interactions to tens of millions of supply chain transactions and millions of patient journeys.
Distyl is backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, Coatue, DST Global, and the board-members of 20+ F500s.
What We Are Looking For
We're hiring a Infrastructure Engineer to own how Distyl engineers build, test, secure, and release software. Our independently versioned services span multiple repositories and deploy into customer environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with different security, connectivity, and upgrade constraints.
This is a hands-on role with scope matched to your experience, from owning complex delivery systems to setting technical direction across teams. You'll build shared delivery systems and coding-agent workflows that make releases reliable, failures actionable, and engineers more productive. Your systems will shape how every Distyl engineer ships.
Key Responsibilities
-
Technical ownership. Set direction and priorities for build, test, release, and coding-agent infrastructure. Choose tools and standards with engineering partners, and own implementation, adoption, and operation across teams
-
Build systems and repository standards. Standardize repository conventions and reusable build/test workflows. Make builds reproducible and efficient through explicit dependencies, consistent tooling, and effective caching
-
Release engineering. Build once and promote versioned bundles of immutable artifacts through release stages, with source traceability and test and security gates. Partner with Platform, Runtime, and Customer Delivery on integration and compatibility testing, configuration and schema changes, and recovery. Support customer-registry distribution and offline packaging where required
-
Agent-enabled engineering. Equip engineers with reusable coding-agent tools to diagnose failures, propose fixes, and handle routine work. Include tests, scoped permissions, failure handling, and independent output validation; measure quality and time saved
