Our powerfully smart connectivity enables leading automotive, agriculture, and transportation OEMs to deliver innovative new services and fully compliant in-vehicle experiences that customers desire, regardless of local market requirements.

We believe in leadership that supports empowerment and responsibility, while recognising and developing leadership qualities across Our Team. Together we bring out the best in each other. So, whether you’re interested in joining us as an individual contributor, manager, senior leader – or someone who aspires to growing into a leadership role – we look for people who are results focused, empathetic, visionary, empowering, and who ‘champion’ our cultures and values.

The Role

Cubic³'s Legal team sits at the centre of a fast-moving, international technology business, supporting commercial negotiations, regulatory compliance and corporate governance across a broad customer and supplier base spanning multiple jurisdictions. We're looking for a sharp, curious and hard-working junior lawyer to join the team at a pivotal time, as the function moves towards is a more generalist model accelerated by the adoption of AI tooling in day-to-day legal work.

This is a cross-departmental role with genuine breadth from day one. You'll play a key role in supporting the legal team through reviewing NDAs, managing templates, running contract execution and standard commercial agreements, and handling corporate filings, but this is deliberately a launchpad, not a ceiling. As you build fluency with our business, our contracting models and our stakeholders, you'll be given rapid, structured exposure to higher-value commercial lawyering: live negotiations, deal structuring and direct stakeholder management across the business.

We're less interested in how many years you've clocked up and more interested in how quickly you learn, how much ownership you take, and how comfortable you are operating in a high-pace, multi-faceted environment where no two weeks look the same.

What you'll do

• Review and triage incoming NDAs against playbook positions, escalating only where needed

• Own and maintain contract templates and the contract management/execution process

• Draft, review and manage standard commercial agreements (vendor, supplier, customer) ensuring that all documentation is produced with a high level of accuracy in a timely manner.

• Handle corporate filings and company secretarial administration

• Use AI-assisted tools to speed up document review, drafting and legal admin

• Progress, with guidance from senior counsel, into supporting negotiations and managing relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Procurement and Product

• Work across departmental lines rather than in a single practice-area silo

About you

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with c. 1 year PQE, or a legal executive with c. 2 years' relevant legal experience

• Strong academic and professional grounding in contract law and commercial drafting

• Genuinely curious, commercially minded, and energised by variety rather than routine

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment and work to deadlines

• Professional, reliable and proactive approach to work.

• Naturally collegiate and a strong team player

• Comfortable with a high volume of admin-heavy work early on, with the drive to earn more complex responsibility quickly

• Organised, precise, and a clear communicator with non-legal stakeholders

• Open to AI-augmented ways of working - comfortable adopting new tools to work smarter

• Interest in international/cross-border commercial matters is a plus, not a requirement

Why Cubic³

• Direct, hands-on exposure to live commercial deals in a global technology business from month one

• A genuinely cross-functional seat - you'll collaborate closely with teams across the company, not just within Legal

• A clear, accelerated runway: strong performers are given more complex work depending on ability rather than years of formal experience

• A small, senior legal team willing to invest time in your training and development

• The chance to build a valued generalist in-house skillset - commercial, regulatory and governance

New hires at Cubic³ are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working. After probation, we offer a flexible arrangement of up to eight work-from-home days per month, provided it aligns with business needs and performance standards. This arrangement is not a given for all roles.

Cubic³ is an equal opportunities employer and committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
