Sedgman USA is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Designer , with hands-on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering, to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona!
The Mechanical Designer works on a diverse array of projects across the Mineral Processing industry. You'll be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design, with a clear focus on Mechanical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Complete detailed design from sketches or specification outlines on either mechanical, process, electrical, structural, hydraulics or civil engineering fields under direction of engineers or a supervising design drafter

Create 3D designs from complex, multidiscipline engineering concepts.

Participate in the review of designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or compliance requirements as appropriate.

Comply with the Change Management process for engineering design

Prepare drawings of designs relating to plant, equipment, services or other facilities or structures.

Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality management process and system.

Ensure engineering designs follow the standard Sedgman design workflows, systems and procedures

Provide drafting support to the project teams in line with management direction from them whilst maximising individual and teams utilisation.

Focus on meeting expectations for schedule, quality and client satisfaction

Check drafting deliverables for accuracy, completeness and adherence to design specifications & intent.

Apply attention and diligence to uphold quality standards, and client requirements, to complete tasks efficiently.
