Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth CBD, Western Australia. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday.
An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced SAP FICO resource to join the finance systems team to work across all operations of Fortescue. Reporting to the Manager Financial Systems and based in our Perth office, you join a talented team supporting the business-as-usual processes.
Your focus will be supporting finance month-end processes, master data governance, raising new requirements and testing new processes. You will have groupwide exposure to both energy and metals operations operating globally. Projects in the finance area are varied with a focus on capital accounting, joint ventures and group reporting. Opportunities also exist for involvement other areas including country localisations, manufacturing, sales, tax engines, treasury, and procurement.
Functions include supporting the corporate teams with their processes, communicating with key stakeholders, gather and document requirements, maintaining internal controls, conducting user acceptance testing, SAP FICO support and user training.
You will need to have an SAP FICO consulting background with strong communication skills, a finance background, SAP certification and relevant tertiary qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide SAP systems support during month-end closing with a focus on capital, reporting and consolidation.
- Support SAP S/4 HANA finance systems projects in area such as group reporting, capital accounting and leases, currency valuation, procurement and reporting. Tasks include:
- Analysis of finance related business processes, functional gaps, and reporting requirements.
- Documenting new business requirements and project scoping. You may need to prototype and demo new processes.
- Liaise with process owners and technology teams.
- Update processes within SAP Signavio.
- Create test cases and assist with user testing and training. Ensure testing is completed and assist with the planning, execution and sign-off of system testing.
- Support the go-live and on-going support.
- Maintenance of master data. Ensure governance and controls are in place.
- Support finance integrations of SAP and external systems such as Dynamics 365, Blackline, SAP Group Reporting.
