Growth Intern

What is Kalshi?

Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.

We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.

• Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.

• Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.

Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.

Role Roadmap

Kalshi is the first federally regulated prediction market in the U.S., and politics is at the heart of what we do. As we build toward the 2026 Midterms, we're looking for a Politics Growth Intern who lives and breathes political media, knows the landscape inside and out, and wants to help us grow Kalshi's presence at the intersection of politics and markets.

This is not a passive research role. You'll be a real thought partner - helping shape strategy, identifying opportunities, and executing on ideas that put Kalshi in front of the right audiences at the right moments. If you spend your free time tracking poll numbers, following political influencers, and debating race outcomes, this role was made for you.

What You'll Do

• Help develop and execute Kalshi's politics social media strategy across X and other platforms, with a focus on growing our presence in political communities

• Assist in identifying and building partnerships with political creators, commentators, journalists, and influencers on both sides of the aisle

• Serve as a thought partner on growth activation strategies heading into the 2026 Midterms, bringing ideas on how to capture attention during key political moments

• Track which races, candidates, and political storylines are driving the most engagement on Kalshi and translate that into targeted growth strategy

• Monitor political social media trends in real time and help the team move quickly when opportunities arise

• Support cross-functional collaboration with Growth, Markets, and Product team

What You bring

• Deep passion for politics: you know the key races, the major players, and the influencers shaping the conversation on both sides of the aisle

• Familiarity with prediction markets and how they work; prior trading experience on Kalshi or other platforms is a plus but not required

• Strong understanding of political social media

• A bias toward action and a resourceful, figure-it-out mentality

• Strong collaborator who works well across teams and communicates clearly

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program

What This Role Is

• A front-row seat to how prediction markets intersect with one of the most consequential political cycles in recent memory

• A real contributor role: your ideas and work will directly shape Kalshi's politics growth strategy

• An opportunity to build relationships across the political media landscape

• A fast-moving, high-ownership internship for someone who wants to do more than make decks

NYC Pay Transparency Disclosure

Pay Range: $20 to $30 per hour. This internship does not offer full-time eligibility, and thus, you will not be eligible for benefits. This range is based on the current available market data, and represents the expected range for this role. Kalshi has minimal hierarchy and few titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles. Should you have compensation expectations that exceed these bands, we'd love to hear from you and would welcome you to reach out to further discuss.

Our Culture

Meritocracy is at our core, and we value people who take ownership and figure (usually hard) things out. We dream big. We love our craft deeply and are proud of what we put out in the world. We are committed to our vision of building something big… but also useful: a product that brings more truth through the power of markets.

Kalshians are Kalshi’s most important asset: we pick Kalshians carefully, so we trust them fully on day 1.

Commitment to Equal Opportunity

Kalshi is committed to creating a culture of inclusion and belonging, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe it is our collective responsibility to uphold these values and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to join us in our mission. All qualified applicants will be treated with respect and receive equal consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, uniform service, veteran status, age, or any other protected characteristic per federal, state, or local law. If you are passionate about what you do and want to use your talents to support our mission and values, we’d love to hear from you.
