What Does AllWage Do?

AllWage helps businesses in construction, agriculture and manufacturing manage, pay and grow their waged teams with confidence.

With waged work, pay depends on what actually happened: the hours worked, the agreed rates and the rules that apply. As teams grow across sites and shifts, getting that right becomes more complex. AllWage connects the work done to correct, explainable pay, giving employers a system they can rely on and employees pay they can understand and trust.

South Africa needs more people employed. We want to make it easier for businesses to take on their next worker, their next team and their next site, with confidence that they can manage and pay people properly as they grow.

Why AllWage?

More than 400 businesses already rely on AllWage. We’re building the employment infrastructure for waged work across Southern Africa. Our ambition is to make AllWage the name employers think of when they’re ready to grow their teams, and our creative work has a major part to play.

We share company financials, strategy and important decisions openly with the team. You’ll understand where the business is going, how your work contributes and where you can make a difference.

You’ll help build a brand that people recognise, remember and want to hear from. Shape how AllWage looks and sounds, bring ideas we haven’t considered, and take them through to work you’re proud to put your name on. We want you to push the creative standard and use AI to expand what you can make, how quickly you can test it and how far a strong idea can go.

This Role Might Be For You If...

You want to make work that gets noticed and build a brand people care about. You take an idea all the way through: finding the angle, editing the video, designing the carousel and seeing what people respond to. You have strong opinions about what makes good creative, the craft to make it yourself and the curiosity to keep getting better.

You’ll work closely with Erné in marketing and our product designer to shape both the creative work and how it gets made. Marketing brings customer research, campaign direction and people on camera. You bring original thinking, visual judgement and the drive to turn promising ideas into finished work.

There’s plenty to work with: owners growing their construction teams, payroll managers making sense of a week’s work, and employees understanding how their pay was calculated. You’ll help find the stories that matter and decide how to tell them.

What you’ll do

• Make video that earns attention. Own the edit for short-form ads, product stories and customer stories. Find the strongest angle in footage, interviews and transcripts, then bring it to life through sharp storytelling and pacing. Test hooks, cuts and formats, and build on what connects with the audience.

• Create videos people want to watch. Own the edit for short-form ads, product stories and customer stories. Find the strongest angle in footage, interviews and transcripts, then bring it to life through sharp storytelling and pacing. Test hooks, cuts and formats, and build on what connects with the audience.

• Create a brand people recognise. Design original static ads, carousels, thumbnails, website imagery and campaign graphics. Work with our product designer to develop a distinctive, consistent visual identity and raise the quality of everything we put out.

• Build better creative workflows with AI. Make AI a core part of how you develop ideas, edit video, create visuals and produce variations. Experiment with new tools, build small scripts, templates and automations, and turn what works into repeatable workflows that improve both speed and quality.

• Build an audience that comes back. Develop a voice and social presence that gives employers a reason to follow AllWage, share our work and join the conversation. Shape the calendar with marketing, create for each platform and turn audience feedback into stronger ideas.

• Keep the ideas coming. Bring bold concepts, unexpected angles and new formats worth testing. Explain why they could connect with our audience, develop the strongest with marketing and take them through to execution. Use what you learn to make the next round better.

• Make more from each story. Create content for remarketing and nurture campaigns, develop formats suited to WhatsApp, experiment with interactive content, and design sales materials that bring our message to life.

• Bring stories to life on location. Work with marketing on camera, lighting and direction to capture compelling footage at customer sites and on campaign shoots.

Marketing owns paid media, budgets, attribution and campaign operations. You’ll work together on concepts and performance feedback. Develop scripts with marketing, combining customer insight with your storytelling and creative judgement.

Skills and experience

• A portfolio showing strong video editing, original graphic design and content made for organic social.

• Short-form paid social experience: you understand hooks, pacing, captions and calls to action.

• Strong judgement in typography, layout, colour and composition, with examples of work you designed from a blank page.

• Practical AI experience. Show us a workflow you’ve built, what it helps you make, and how you judge the output.

• Enough coding confidence to build or adapt a small script, automation or template, including with AI assistance.

• Creative ambition and ownership: you bring ideas without waiting for a brief, take them through to delivery, explain your decisions and use feedback to make the work stronger. You care about the details as much as the concept.

You’ll need to live within 100 km of Cape Town and be available to travel for shoots. Afrikaans is an advantage when working with our customers. Experience with Meta Business Suite is useful too.
