Could you be the full-time BIM Coordinator in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your coordination and design expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, collaborative, and innovative teammates.
You'll play a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including subsystem design teams, civil partners, and engineering managers), review and validate design models, and ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of creating models in Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit, but also assist in preparing and maintaining federated models and facilitating coordination meetings.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Assessing Civil inputs for quality and usability and providing these inputs for subsystem design development
-
Creating Dynamo scripts to support design processes
-
Ensuring subsystem BIM models comply with BIM Execution Plan requirements
-
Coordinating between subsystems and other civil partners on the project
-
Assisting in creating and maintaining the federated model
-
Ensuring proper use and updates of BIM guidelines and processes throughout the design process
-
Following up on schedules defined by the System BIM Manager and Project Engineering Manager
-
Participating in process and “Metier” improvement workgroups, proposing updates and improvements
-
Reporting anomalies and proposing enhancements to the reference library and standards
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering or equivalent education
