The role combines deep electronics expertise with strong technical leadership, cross-functional influence, and delivery accountability.
This role will be based in Shenzhen, China.
This position requires a highly capable and influential engineering leader who can provide technical direction, make sound engineering judgements, and guide teams through complex product development challenges. You will lead Electronics Engineers across development programmes, set clear technical expectations, support critical decision-making, and coach graduates and new team members to build capability within the team.
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide technical leadership to a team of Electronics Engineers, driving the development and delivery of integrated electronics solutions across both self-developed and JDM modules, in line with programme milestones and business priorities.
-
Lead design reviews, technical risk assessments, and investigations, ensuring robust engineering decisions are made early and complex technical issues are resolved effectively.
-
Own and guide the development of power electronics, analogue/digital, and microcontroller-based electronic circuits for new products, including circuit design, analysis, review, troubleshooting, verification, and validation.
-
Set and uphold engineering standards to ensure design solutions meet product specifications and functional requirements, including performance, reliability, DFM, cost, and compliance with international regulatory standards such as IEC, UL, and EMC standards.
-
Influence and align cross-functional teams, including Mechanical, Compliance, Software, Manufacturing, Test, and JDM partners, to ensure product and system requirements are understood, prioritised, and delivered through to production.
-
Ensure the quality and completeness of key engineering deliverables, including design schematics, PCB layouts, tolerance analyses, design notes, FMEAs, failure analysis reports, and technical review documents.
-
Provide technical leadership to suppliers and contract manufacturers, driving production readiness, engineering discipline, and compliance with company requirements.
-
Coach and develop junior engineers by providing technical guidance, design direction, and constructive challenge to strengthen engineering capability across the team.
