Who We Are
Persona AI is building humanoid robots for the most demanding environments in heavy industry — shipyards, steel mills, fabrication facilities, and offshore platforms — performing welding, grinding, maintenance, inspection, and material-handling work that is dangerous, physically demanding, and increasingly difficult to staff.
We are backed by leading strategic and financial investors and engaged with global industrial leaders across Korea, Japan, the United States, and Singapore. Korea is the center of gravity for our early commercial strategy, anchored by relationships with the world’s leading shipbuilders and steelmakers. Our work spans both the robot platform itself and the systems, partners, and playbooks required to deploy it at scale.
We're seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in Houston, TX and contribute to the development of cutting-edge humanoid robotics systems. You'll work directly with our mechanical and electrical engineering teams on real projects that impact our robot development.
Now reviewing applications for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
What You’ll Work On:
-
PCBA Design & Testing: Support development and validation of custom electronics for humanoid robot power, communication, and actuation systems
-
Cabling Systems: Assist with design and prototyping of robotic systems with a focus on designing cabling and understanding grounding and bonding
-
Embedded System Development: Be involved with the writing, testing, and validating embedded software for the custom electronics that we have produced
-
Engineering Documentation: Create technical documentation, drawings, test reports, and design specifications
What you’ll learn:
-
Hands-on experience with humanoid robotics development from concept to product
-
Real-world application of engineering fundamentals in cutting-edge robotics
Qualifications:
-
Currently pursuing, or have obtained, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field
-
A passion for robotics, automation, or electromechanical systems
-
Experience with electrical CAD software (ideally KiCAD), prototyping, and hands-on building (coursework, personal projects, student competitions, or hobby work)
