About the Role

The Senior Project Buyer is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract and purchase order negotiations and subcontractor management. The role works closely with Project Management and cross-functional teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and according to project requirements. The role also supports domestic and international logistics, including freight coordination, customs documentation, tariff regulations, HS classifications, and import/export requirements to ensure compliant and cost-effective procurement and delivery.

This role reports to the Purchasing Manager and provides purchasing and supply chain support across BOS Innovations Inc, BOS Innovations LLC and TrueLight Machine Vision Solutions Inc.

RESPONSILITIES

• Prequalify and source new suppliers/contractors

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and external contractors; negotiate contracts and terms as required

• Price and place purchase orders for parts; work with the Engineering group and suppliers to find alternatives that meet the project schedules

• Outsource manufactured components as needed to meet project deadlines and capacity constraints

• Receive and track PO acknowledgments; collaborate with the Project Managers on delayed or at-risk orders

• Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages; evaluate bids and recommend suppliers for award

• Interpret project schedules, assign delivery dates, and negotiate PO values to align with project timelines and budgets

• Negotiate PO terms and conditions as needed
