Tradesperson - Electrical Instrument

Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

Step into a role where your dual-trade expertise truly shines. As a Tradesperson - Electrical Instrumentation, you’ll be part of a tight-knit crew at Evolution Mining’s Cowal site, reporting directly to the Electrical Supervisor. This isn’t just another maintenance gig, you will be working across a diverse gold processing operation, with exposure to cutting-edge instrumentation and electrical systems.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Maintaining and calibrating equipment like Vega density gauges, Yokogawa pressure sensors, and Siemens PLCs
• Diagnosing faults and responding to breakdowns across the processing plant
• Leading shutdown activities and mentoring apprentices when needed

**
What sets this role apart?**

• Lifestyle roster (7/7) with drive-in/drive-out flexibility. No FIFO
• A social, supportive team that values initiative and celebrates wins (yes, there are weekend BBQs!)
• Real career progression is on offer. Think supervisory roles or stepping into planning

Why Cowal Gold Operations?

At Cowal, our never-say-never attitude has led to mine life extension to 2042 as we have boldly reimagined our future. We took our operations there underground in just seven years. Today, you can work on the surface or underground. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers. Live nearby and enjoy the regional lifestyle and close-knit communities. The future here is bright; you could be part of it.
