Auto Electrician

.

Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

Are you an experienced Underground Auto Electrician who takes pride in keeping critical mining equipment performing at its best?

Join the maintenance team at Mungari and play a key role in supporting a modern underground mining fleet. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll work across a diverse range of underground equipment, carrying out fault finding, breakdown response, preventative maintenance and electrical installations that keep our operation moving safely and efficiently.

This is an opportunity to work with a highly capable maintenance team, gain exposure to a variety of underground equipment, and build your career at an operation with a long-term future.

Based at our Mungari Operations, you'll:

• Carry out scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on underground mobile equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults across a diverse underground fleet.
• Perform breakdown repairs safely and efficiently to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation to support compliance and operational performance.
• Identify equipment defects, improvement opportunities and reliability initiatives.
• Work closely with supervisors, operators and fellow tradespeople to achieve maintenance and production targets.
• Champion safe work practices and contribute to Evolution Mining's strong safety culture

This position is on a 7:7 roster, live locally in Kalgoorlie or we offer FIFO from Perth.

Why Mungari Operations?

Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.

What suits your lifestyle best? We offer drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) and fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) rosters at Mungari. You choose. Live local in the world-class mining community and enjoy our competitive live-local incentives and allowances. Or choose FIFO and enjoy the camaraderie and benefits that village life offers.

The future here is bright; you could be part of it.

We support, develop and reward you to ensure you have a bright future. Here’s how we back that up:

• Quarterly performance bonuses

• Auto Electrical Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent).
• Previous experience as an Auto Electrician within underground mining or a similar heavy industry environment.
