Career Day

About the role

Imagine this. You're studying at Politecnico di Milano, building the skills to solve complex engineering challenges. Now imagine taking that knowledge beyond the classroom and applying it to real aerospace technologies, autonomous flight systems, and next-generation UAVs.

At Destinus, we're looking to connect with ambitious Polimi students and graduates who want to turn ideas into real-world engineering solutions. Whether your interests lie in aerospace, robotics, artificial intelligence, propulsion, software, or mechanical design, you'll have the opportunity to explore how your skills can contribute to technologies pushing the boundaries of modern aviation and defense.

Your academic experience has taught you to think critically, solve problems, and challenge conventional approaches. At Destinus, you'll see how those skills translate into real engineering projects, from early-stage development and simulation to prototyping, integration, and testing.

What you’ll get the chance to do

• Apply your engineering knowledge from Politecnico di Milano to real aerospace and defense challenges.
• Contribute to the development of advanced UAV systems, including autonomy, guidance, control, propulsion, and mechanical design.
• Explore the full engineering process, from modelling and simulation to prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Work with technologies involving robotics, embedded systems, software development, artificial intelligence, or advanced manufacturing.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers across different disciplines and international teams.
• Bring fresh ideas, university projects, research experience, and technical curiosity into real engineering applications.
• Discover opportunities for internships, thesis projects, graduate positions, and early-career engineering roles.

Requirements

You’ll shine if you

• Currently studying at or recently graduated from Politecnico di Milano, ideally in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related technical fields.
• A solid academic foundation in areas such as modelling, simulation, programming, control systems, system design, or mechanical engineering.
• An interest in aerospace technologies, autonomous systems, and real-world engineering applications.
• Curiosity to understand how complex systems work and the motivation to turn theoretical knowledge into practical solutions.
• Confidence working in English within an international environment.
• Experience with academic projects, student engineering teams, research activities, or personal technical projects is a plus.

Who You Are

You're curious, ambitious, and excited by engineering challenges that go beyond textbooks. You enjoy understanding how things work, experimenting with new ideas, and finding practical solutions to complex problems.

Whether you're searching for an internship, a thesis opportunity, or your first professional role, you're ready to learn, contribute, and grow alongside engineers developing the next generation of autonomous flight technologies.

You don't just want to study the future of aerospace. You want to help build it.
