Electrical Site Supervisor

The opportunity

Some people manage projects.

Others lead the people who make them happen.

We're looking for a supervisor to join our team in Mango Hill, leading the delivery of electrical, communications and mechanical infrastructure projects from construction through to commissioning. You'll be the person connecting the plan on paper with what's happening on site, ensuring crews have what they need, challenges are resolved quickly and projects are delivered safely and successfully.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being out in the field, leading from the front and building strong relationships with crews, subcontractors and project stakeholders. Every day will be different, but the goal stays the same: delivering quality outcomes while keeping safety at the centre of everything you do.

What you'll do

• Lead day-to-day construction and commissioning activities across electrical, communications and mechanical projects
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, plant and resources to keep projects moving
• Drive strong safety performance and champion Downer's Zero Harm culture
• Manage project delivery to meet client, community and business expectations
• Build positive relationships with project teams, clients and delivery partners
• Support construction planning, scheduling and project execution activities
• Monitor quality, compliance and performance across multiple work fronts
• Mentor and support field teams to achieve their best outcomes

What we offer

• Permanent opportunity within a growth industry that is continuously expanding and evolving.
• Work on projects that directly support critical infrastructure and essential services.
• Suite of Downer benefits, including health and wellness initiatives.
• Join an organisation that truly values and practices flexible working options and has a demonstrated focus on diversity and inclusion.
• Career pathways into senior leadership and project delivery roles.

What we're looking for

• Queensland Electrical Workers Licence (mandatory)
• Cert III Electrotechnology (Electrician) or equivalent
• Experience leading electrical construction or infrastructure delivery teams
• Proven ability managing subcontractors and direct workforce personnel
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental management requirements
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced project environment
• Strong focus on delivering outcomes while maintaining high safety standards
