Construction Laborer

Looking for more than just another construction job? Build a career with us.

At Singleton Construction, some of our best Superintendents and skilled tradespeople started exactly where you are now.

As a Construction Laborer, you'll be an essential part of our project teams, helping deliver commercial construction projects for some of America's most recognised brands while learning from experienced professionals every day.

Our projects take us across the central and southern United States, so if you enjoy travelling, working with your hands and being part of a close-knit team, this is a role where no two projects—and no two months—are the same.

This isn't just a job. It's an opportunity to learn, develop new skills and build a long-term career in commercial construction.

Why Singleton?

At Singleton Construction, we're passionate about developing great people.

We know that today's Laborers become tomorrow's Carpenters, Superintendents and Project Managers, which is why we invest in helping our people grow.

Working with us means you'll have the opportunity to travel to a variety of project locations, work alongside experienced construction professionals and gain hands-on experience on projects across multiple states.

We also know that travelling for work is a commitment, so we make sure you're well looked after. We organise your travel, provide quality accommodation and support you throughout every project, allowing you to focus on learning, working safely and building your future.

If you work hard, show initiative and have a great attitude, there are real opportunities to progress. Whether your goal is to become a skilled Commercial Carpenter, move into site leadership as a Superintendent or continue developing within commercial construction, we'll help you get there.

What you'll be doing

As a Construction Laborer, you'll support our site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the high standards Singleton is known for.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Carpenters, Superintendents and project teams with day-to-day site activities.
• Loading, unloading and moving materials and equipment.
• Preparing and maintaining clean, safe and organised job sites.
• Supporting construction, installation and finishing work as required.
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assisting with project setup and closeout activities.
• Following all company safety procedures and site requirements.
• Learning new skills while working alongside experienced construction professionals.

Projects vary in both location and duration, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling and staying away from home when required.

Requirements

What we're looking for

We're looking for people with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

You'll likely have:

• Previous construction or laboring experience (preferred but not essential).
• Flexibility to work days and nights
• A willingness to work hard and learn new skills.
• A positive, team-first attitude.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Commitment to working safely.
• The flexibility to travel as projects require.

Most importantly, we're looking for people who are eager to build a career, not just find their next job.

What success looks like

You become someone your team can rely on.

You're always willing to learn, take pride in your work and support those around you. You arrive ready to work, ask questions, develop new skills and consistently contribute to successful projects.

Over time, you'll build the experience and confidence to progress into more senior roles within the business.

Don't tick every box?

That's okay.

We're looking for attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn just as much as experience.

If you're hardworking, enjoy being part of a team and are excited about building a career in commercial construction, we'd love to hear from you.
