We are looking for a strategic, data-driven, and hands-on Head of Performance Marketing & User Acquisition to lead paid growth, scale user acquisition, and drive measurable business outcomes in the gaming industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling performance marketing budgets significantly, building structured creative-testing systems, and optimising campaigns across multiple advertising platforms.

This role combines performance strategy, analytical decision-making, creative experimentation, team leadership, and AI-driven marketing innovation. You will be responsible for building scalable acquisition engines that improve user growth, retention, and return on marketing investment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end performance marketing and user acquisition strategy, including campaign architecture, channel selection, audience targeting, bidding, and optimisation.
• Lead paid acquisition across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and other relevant platforms, including gaming-specific networks and affiliate channels.
• Develop and execute strategies to scale acquisition budgets substantially while maintaining sustainable CPI, ROAS, retention, and user-quality benchmarks.
• Build structured creative-testing frameworks covering concept development, hooks, formats, messaging, audience variations, and clear kill-or-scale criteria.
• Analyse campaign performance, user cohorts, retention trends, conversion rates, and return on ad spend to guide growth decisions.
• Own marketing budget allocation, channel mix, cost economics, and performance forecasting to maximise return on investment.
• Establish a measurement philosophy and integrated growth roadmap across performance marketing, social media, community, and related functions.
• Partner with Product teams to align marketing campaigns with game launches, new modes, feature releases, updates, and patches.
• Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports across Performance & Growth Marketing and Marketing Operations, setting priorities and resolving execution trade-offs.
• Oversee day-to-day execution across ASO and content marketing, ensuring alignment with acquisition and growth objectives.
• Drive AI adoption across campaign analysis, creative iteration, reporting, planning, and team workflows.
• Collaborate with business leadership on brand positioning, consumer insights, audience behaviour, and evolving growth opportunities.
• Establish clear KPIs, reporting dashboards, testing processes, and performance reviews to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 8–10 years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or user acquisition, with substantial hands-on execution experience.
• Proven experience scaling marketing budgets from tens of lakhs to crores, demonstrating meaningful growth rather than incremental optimisation alone.
• Strong expertise in Meta Ads and Google Ads, including campaign structures, bidding strategies, creative optimisation, attribution, and budget management.
• Demonstrated success in building structured creative-testing systems with measurable before-and-after results.
• Strong analytical capabilities across CPI, ROAS, retention, cohort performance, acquisition costs, and user lifetime value.
• Experience managing additional acquisition channels such as affiliates, Moloco, Unity Ads, or other gaming-focused advertising networks.
• AI-first working habits, with practical use of AI tools for performance analysis, creative development, reporting, and workflow automation.
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor marketers, manage competing priorities, and develop individual capabilities.
• Experience with analytics tools such as Looker Studio, Mixpanel, or comparable platforms is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ASO, content marketing, social media, and community-led growth.
• Experience in gaming, esports, mobile apps, or other fandom-driven consumer categories is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial judgement, communication skills, ownership, and the ability to connect marketing performance with business outcomes.
