Do you enjoy transforming complex transportation data into meaningful decisions that shape communities? Are you passionate about forecasting how people move today—and how they'll travel tomorrow?
Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) is seeking a Mid-Level Transportation Planner or Transportation Engineer with expertise in travel demand modeling to join our growing transportation planning practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile statewide, regional, corridor, and environmental planning projects across the western United States while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of planners, engineers, environmental professionals, and GIS specialists.
Our work helps agencies answer challenging questions related to growth, mobility, safety, resiliency, and multimodal transportation investments. If you enjoy solving complex transportation problems using modeling, analytics, and innovative planning approaches, we'd like to meet you.

- Assess transportation system performance, congestion, accessibility, reliability, equity, and multimodal connectivity.
- Support traffic forecasting for roadway improvements, safety studies, interchange analyses, and development review.
Develop Innovative Planning Solutions
- Evaluate transportation alternatives using travel demand modeling, scenario planning, and benefit-cost analyses.
- Integrate land use, demographic, economic, and travel behavior data into planning recommendations.
- Support planning for transit, active transportation, Complete Streets, TSM&O, and emerging mobility technologies.
Communicate Technical Findings
- Prepare technical memoranda, planning reports, visualization materials, and presentations.
- Present findings to clients, stakeholders, public officials, and community members.
