Influencer Addiction? You know that good partnerships don’t just “create buzz.” They drive revenue, build authority, and make competitors wonder how the heck you’re everywhere at once. You know how to build a scalable affiliate program where the right partners drive sales, the right experts build trust, and every campaign has the tracking and reporting to prove it. And you know how to lead people, not just projects. You have experience managing and developing a team, setting clear expectations, coaching people to improve, and holding them accountable for delivering results. You can take a partnership vision, turn it into a strategy, and lead your team to execute it.
If that sounds like you, you might have what it takes to be the Influencer & Partnership Lead at AlgaeCal.
Small Print ⇒ If you think influencer marketing is about collecting “likes” this role isn’t for you. We’re looking for someone who can build a performance-driven influencer and partnership ecosystem, manage creators and affiliates, negotiate smart deals, and sniff out wasted spend faster than a bloodhound chasing a runaway sausage cart.
This job will give you ALL the feels:
At AlgaeCal, we’re driven by a single idea. To end the fear of bone loss. In the United States, an estimated 54 million people have low bone density.
The good news? AlgaeCal has the world’s only clinically supported natural solution to this problem. We give hope to everyone worried about bone loss. If that excites you, you’ll find no better place to continue your career than at AlgaeCal.
This job might be for you if you’ve got…
A nose for finding GREAT partners. You can tell the difference between a creator with a big audience and a partner with real revenue potential. You know how to evaluate audience fit, credibility, and brand alignment. In this role, you won’t chase shiny objects. You’ll build pipelines of influencers, creators, and healthcare-adjacent experts who can drive revenue.
An obsession with measurable results. ROAS, CAC, conversion rate, revenue, attribution — these aren’t gobbledygook to you. They’re your scorecard!
The people skills of a diplomat. You know that partnerships don’t run on contracts. They run on trust, strong offers, and mutual wins. You can take a creator from first conversation to signed agreement to live campaign to performance report without losing the plot.
The ability to lead a small but mighty team. You don’t just know how to get results yourself. You know how to get results through others. You can set priorities, coach people, keep standards high, and make sure the team is moving in the same direction without creating bottlenecks, confusion, or 47 “alignment” meetings.
A Yoda-like knowledge of affiliate programs. You understand what makes affiliate programs scale. You’ve worked with platforms like Impact, Klear, GRIN, Shopify Affiliates, or similar tools — and you know the platform is only as good as the strategy behind it.
A nose for credibility. You understand that expert relationships aren’t decorative badges for a website. They’re credibility engines. You can help build and manage a Scientific Advisory Board, nurture relationships with healthcare or science-adjacent experts, support long-term advisory agreements, and translate scientific insight into clear, compliant, consumer-facing content that builds trust.
An obsession with tracking. UTMs, GA4, attribution mapping, affiliate links, conversion paths, dashboards — you know how to make campaigns measurable. If something goes live without proper tracking, a tiny part of your soul leaves your body. You can set up clean systems, find reporting gaps, and make sure every campaign has a clear line of sight to performance.
A hatred of wasting money. You pity the fools who throw cash at creators and hope for the best. You know how to optimize spend while keeping the finance department from developing an eye twitch.
An allergy to sloppy campaigns. Brief → content → compliance → launch → tracking → reporting → optimization. You’ve owned the whole thing. You can run multiple partner campaigns at once, keep timelines tight, keep teams aligned, and make sure campaigns launch with speed, quality, and a clear reason for existing.
Team spirit. You can work with creative, paid media, and external partners without turning every decision into a 14-person meeting and a Slack thread called “quick question” that lasts six days. You bring clarity, momentum, and calm.
Proven track record. With 5+ years of experience in influencer marketing, affiliate management, partnerships, creator growth, or related roles, you’ve already earned your stripes. Bonus points if you’ve worked in health, wellness, supplements, D2C, eCommerce, women’s health, or another category where credibility and performance have to hold hands.
Now, time to be honest… is this really you?
If you’re nodding your head and already thinking about which partners, systems, and campaign levers you’d tackle first, then we can’t wait to meet you.
Other Qualities You’ll Need
At AlgaeCal, we’re going to insist that you have these 3 qualities:
You’re humble–you put the team and others’ needs ahead of your own
You’re hungry to learn more
You’re people-smart–in the sense that you’re a great teammate
The truth is, if you don’t have these qualities, you won’t last long at AlgaeCal. So if you’re missing one of them, be honest. Save yourself a lot of headaches and skip to a job posting that is a better fit for you.
What Will You Earn?
We believe in rewarding top talent. So let’s talk about salary once we’ve had the chance to get to know you better. Rest assured, we’re generous and offer above-market pay for the right person. If you bring the skills and experience, we’ll make sure the compensation reflects that.
You’ll also enjoy the following benefits:
A generous healthcare package
Monthly team events and activities
Flexible Stat Holidays with the option to bank days for later use
Weekly team lunches
Casual dress code
Incredible dog-friendly, Yaletown office one block from SkyTrain
And above all, you’ll join a team that you’ll never want to leave. Culture is everything to us. Yes, we work extremely hard to change as many people’s lives as possible. But we know how to have fun and reward ourselves too.
