The team

The Financial Assessment Team is part of Suffolk County Council's Financial Inclusion and Advice Service (FIAS), playing a key role in supporting adults who receive care and support services. We help ensure people are charged fairly and accurately for the care they receive by carrying out financial assessments in line with the Care Act and national charging regulations.

Our work makes a real difference to some of Suffolk's most vulnerable residents, providing clear advice and support while ensuring individuals understand their financial responsibilities and entitlements.

We are a supportive and collaborative team that values learning, development and continuous improvement. We offer flexible working arrangements and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Empowering Everyone

We want to represent the diverse communities we serve. We welcome applications from all individuals, especially those from groups that are currently underrepresented in the organisation, as shown in our Workforce Equality Report.
