Operations Associate

Rockstar is recruiting for a market-leading AI voice agent for mortgage lenders. Founded in 2024, this company has grown from ~$0 to $13M in revenue in 20 months, and 5 of the 10 largest independent mortgage banks in the U.S. are enterprise customers. They have raised $21M+ across Seed and Series A, most recently a $15M Series A in June 2026.

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full time
Department: Operations

Why This Is a Huge Opportunity

Around 1% of the U.S. labor force works in phone sales, representing roughly $100B of annual salary, and the industry is poised at the brink of complete disruption. The client is at the cutting edge of this economic transformation, one of the first companies creating real, durable economic value through applied AI.

Buying a house is the largest financial decision most people make in their lives, and homeownership is tied to many other purchases, including life insurance, homeowners insurance, alarm systems, home renovations, solar panels, and more. By owning the mortgage vertical, the client will own the relationship with the consumer, positioning it as the essential AI infrastructure for high-consideration consumer sales.

The Role

The client is looking for a smart, highly organized, and relentlessly reliable Operations Associate to help scale their team.

The Operations Associate will initially focus on recruiting: talking to candidates, running interview processes, reviewing resumes, and helping the client hire great people. Over time, the Operations Associate will take on additional operational projects and work directly to improve processes across other parts of the company.

What the Operations Associate Will Do

• Coordinate interviews and communicate directly with candidates, including building AI agents to automate these workflows
• Help evaluate candidates and sell them on joining the client
• Manage the client's recruiting pipeline, resumes, and candidate data in Ashby, and manage job posts across Handshake, university career centers, and other channels

What the Client Is Looking For

• Extremely organized: can manage many moving pieces without dropping details
• Excellent communicator: clear, concise, polished, and personable
• High-agency and proactive: sees what needs to happen and makes it happen

What the Operations Associate Will Gain

• Real ownership: help build candidate pipelines and improve how the client recruits as it scales
• Broad exposure: recruit across engineering, product, sales, and other functions at a rapidly growing AI startup
• Room to grow: take on additional operations responsibilities as the Operations Associate automates more of recruiting, based on their interests

Experience

Prior recruiting coordination or recruiting operations experience is preferred, but not required. The client is open to exceptional early-career candidates who are smart, organized, fast, and highly reliable. The client cares more about the candidate's ability to learn and execute than their years of experience.

Why Join

• Crazy growth: The market pull is exhilarating — the client has grown 10x in the past 12 months and more than 100x since its seed round, all without a dedicated sales or marketing team. Building something that people want so badly is the best feeling a startup can have.
• Team and culture: The client is a high-agency team where the bar is high and everyone makes the people around them better. Collaboration and intensity are core team values, and people genuinely care about their work and their coworkers, while the team does not take itself too seriously.
• Challenging problems: Outperforming human sales teams on half a million daily calls is not easy. Low-latency, real-time infra. 99.9% uptime. Enterprise-grade privacy and security. Advanced simulation and evaluation systems. Flexible A/B testing. AI scheduler and dialer. The client owns the whole stack and does not compromise on quality.
• Well-funded: The client has raised $21M+ in total funding, most recently a $15M Series A in June 2026.

Benefits

• $80,000–$100,000 base salary + equity
• Top-of-market medical, dental, and vision coverage for the candidate and their dependents
• 401(k) with a top-of-market employer match
• Unlimited PTO
• Hybrid schedule: four days a week together in the client's San Francisco office, with a flexible remote day on Wednesdays
