Director of Sales Engineering

About 7AI

7AI is the foundational AI security company. Founded in 2024 by Cybereason co-founders Lior Div and Yonatan Striem-Amit, we came out of stealth in February 2025 to take on the non-human work of the SOC. Our platform pairs a federated SIEM with AI agents that detect, investigate, respond, and hunt, plus dedicated threat hunting and threat intelligence, with humans on the loop.

Backed by $166 million in total funding from investors including Index Ventures and Blackstone, we're building the AI foundation for security operations in the agentic era, and we're still early. That's the appeal: you'll join at a pivotal stage where your work shapes what 7AI becomes, alongside security veterans who've built this before. Our culture runs on respect, collaboration, and a shared bar for excellence, all pointed at one goal, delivering real outcomes for the customers who trust us to defend them.

**Overview
**7AI is hiring a Director of Sales Engineering to lead our east region Sales Engineering function. You'll be the technical backbone of our sales organization in the region - partnering directly with Account Executives to run discovery, deliver technical demonstrations, design proof-of-concept engagements, and translate complex security and AI concepts into clear business value for CISOs and security leaders.

What You'll Do

• Own technical win strategy for East region opportunities, from discovery through proof-of-concept to close

• Design and run POCs/pilots that prove out 7AI's agentic security capabilities in customer environments

• Serve as the technical voice of the customer, feeding field insights back to Product and Engineering

• Recruit, hire, and develop a team of Sales Engineers as the East region scales

• Build repeatable technical sales methodology, demo environments, and POC frameworks for the region

• Represent 7AI at industry events, customer briefings, and analyst conversations

• Partner closely with Sales leadership on territory strategy and account planning

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years in sales engineering or solutions architecture, with a track record of success in cybersecurity, SOC/SIEM, or security operations technology

• 3+ years of experience leading or building a sales engineering team

• Deep technical fluency in security operations - detection engineering, threat investigation, SOAR/SIEM platforms, or AI/ML-driven security tooling

• Proven ability to sell to and influence CISOs, security architects, and SOC leadership

• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment, building process where none exists yet

• Excellent communicator - able to move fluidly between whiteboard technical depth and executive-level business narrative

• Based in or willing to be based in the Eastern time zone, with regular travel across the region
