Product Designer at Aios Medical — Remote, $100-200k/yr inc equity

About AIOS

AIOS is building the world’s first full-stack AI doctor.
We’re at $350M ARR, growing from $10M/yr 12 months ago. We’re the world’s fastest growing AI doctor.
We’re faithfully serving >150k/mo patients via Bolt Pharmacy, our main UK brand. We’re profitable.
Our strategy exists at the intersection of two strong theses:

1. The AI doctor that wins will get to escape velocity using GLP-1s, the fastest growing consumer product in history.

2. The $2T European healthcare market is overlooked by the most talented builders.

Our master plan:

• Step 0 → $100M/yr by end of 2025: We went from $10M to $100M in 6 months serving the UK GLP-1 market.

• Step 1 → $1B ARR by end of 2026: Over the last 12 months we’ve grown from 3k to 150k UK active GLP-1 patients. We’ll continue this growth curve to hit $1B ARR.

• Step 2 → $10B ARR by end of 2028: Blitzscale Europe. We’ll be Europe’s largest GLP-1 provider.

• Step 3 → $100B/yr by end of 2031: Get regulatory approval across Europe for our Full Autonomous Prescribing (FAP) system. Win contracts at scale with European payers to mass replace human labor. We’ll be the dominant full-stack AI doctor in Europe.

• Step 4 → $1T/yr by end of 2035: With one line of code and zero human time, you can use AIOS to treat any patient globally with any medication.

In so doing, we’ll become the world’s first trillion-dollar healthcare company.
We’re a young, founder-led company. This is still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.

Being a Product Designer at AIOS

We are building a world-class team.

You’ll be taking on a senior, high-ownership role in product design at Aios Medical. We have multiple roles in the team across our clinical software and customer facing mobile app.

You’ll be stepping into a product that has grown fast and needs stronger design leadership, judgment, and structure.

Some of this work is visible and polished. Some of it is messy and internal. You’ll own projects end-to-end. That means taking loosely defined problems, talking to the right people, understanding workflows and constraints, and shipping solutions you can stand behind. We’re looking for someone who can run with a problem independently and be trusted to get it over the line.

The work often sits at the intersection of user needs, business goals, and real constraints. You might be working with engineers on a customer app flow, untangling a complex internal workflow that’s slowing teams down, reviewing CX tickets to understand where users are breaking, or defending a design decision.

You’ll report directly to our Head of Product Design (Ryan Wu) and work closely with our Head of Product (Ben Dowdle). You’ll also work alongside the rest of our Product and Design org, as well as our engineering and CX teams. You’ll be superb at collaborating and moving fast.

This is a full-time, remote role. We’re async-friendly and flexible with hours, but overlap with European and US time zones is expected.

Key responsibilities

• Design ownership: You take ownership of design work across products and run projects independently, from problem definition to shipped solution.

• Customer apps: You design and improve customer-facing web and mobile app experiences. Mobile app work is a major focus area.

• Internal tools & workflows: You work on internal products used by clinical, ops, enrolment, and CX teams, focusing on workflow, usability, and efficiency.

• Complex problem solving: You work on products with real commercial and regulatory constraints. You understand that not everything can be changed freely.

• Business & user understanding: You start from the business problem and the user need. You can clearly explain what problem you were solving and why.

• End-to-end project ownership: You lead projects independently, including discovery, talking to users or internal teams, defining the solution, and shipping it.

• Clear communication: You can articulate your thinking, defend decisions, and hold your ground in discussions with strong opinions.

• Hands-on leadership: You’re comfortable being senior, helping shape how design works, and supporting other designers as the team grows, without stepping away from hands-on work.

Need to have

Experience: You’ve spent 3+ years designing digital products across web or mobile, including customer-facing mobile apps or internal tooling. What matters is that you’ve designed real products used by real people.

Robust Portfolio: Your portfolio shows real product work that shows off your design taste. We want to see the problem, the rules you had to work within, and the impact of your decisions - including polished screens of the output.

Ownership: You take loosely defined problems and run with them. You figure out what needs to be done, who to talk to, and how to move a project from idea to shipped solution. You don’t need constant direction, and you don’t get stuck in endless exploration.

Craft: You care about clarity and usability more than surface-level polish. You can work within fixed requirements, technical limitations, and existing systems, and still make meaningful improvements.

Clear thinking & communication: You can clearly explain what problem you were solving, why certain decisions were made, and what tradeoffs were involved. You’re comfortable defending your work and navigating discussions with strong opinions.

Nice to have

Formal or equivalent design training: You’ve studied design, computer science, or a related field - or you’ve built the same depth of thinking through real product work.

Working in regulated and complex products: You don’t need experience in healthcare specifically. What matters is that you’ve worked on products where design decisions are shaped by regulation, compliance, legal requirements, or strong business rules. You understand that some copy, flows, or elements can’t simply be removed or redesigned, and that good design often means improving clarity and usability within those realities

Design that gets built: You’re comfortable working with engineers and thinking through implementation details. You understand how design decisions show up in real code and systems.

Our cultural standards

We aim to make this your life’s work. This should be the most challenging, most rewarding role of your life. Accordingly, these are the core cultural standards to which we hold ourselves & our team-members:

1. Belief in the mission: We will have served 100 million patients by the end of 2035 and we transform the life of most patients who join. We have a lot of work to do. We are obsessed with our patients and are dedicated to the mission.

2. Unwavering integrity: We are at the frontier, so we often live in ambiguity with no trodden path. When we can’t look to others for guidance, we must maintain impeccable ethics and unwavering integrity.

3. Only the paranoid survive: Bad sh*t is coming. By joining us, you’re choosing to sail straight towards the storms with unhesitating conviction. However much we’ve already done, however far we’ve already come — it’s still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.

4. If we’re average we fail: We are only interested in “insanely great”, a focus on the quality of our execution that in everyday life would be considered pathological. We have a dedication to excellence and reject incompetence.

5. Commitment to candor: That which can be destroyed by the truth should be. You get full transparency from the company and the company expects full transparency from you. We never say anything about someone that we wouldn’t say to them directly. We give feedback with love and do not need to protect people from fleeting physical sensations.

6. A maniacal sense of urgency: We execute at an intensity that most people think is impossible. Speed is critical and we need things done yesterday. We all work very hard and in such a competitive world there really is no other way to win.

7. Enduring frugality: We are frugal. We hate being wasteful and we are anti-luxury. A culture of cheapness keeps us young. We spend our cash wisely & carefully — in a way that would make our grandmas proud.

8. Bulldozing barriers: The world is malleable and we shape it. We truly believe this and act accordingly. We are relentlessly resourceful and are at the mercy of no-one but ourselves. You’ll be shocked how capable you are and how much you can achieve.

9. Keep your head down: We’re boring people doing exciting work. We don’t chase short-term status — we ignore short-term dopamine hits and focus on what matters. Outsiders will underestimate us and we revel in that.

10. The power of focus: We live in a world of power laws and we cannot overestimate the unimportance of practically everything. Know your One Thing, and nail it.

🎯 _“You just build a f_ing amazing experience. Make each step amazing. Make every decision in the long term interest of the customer. Give the customer massively more value than you take.”*
