AI Enablement

About us

At Environment Bank, we’re working together to help restore natural habitats across England. With thousands of acres of new habitat creation already underway, our projects are delivering biodiversity gains and helping vital ecosystems to recover and flourish.

Our diverse team includes ecologists, land managers, habitat specialists, geospatial analysts, planning advisors, account managers, digital creatives, legal experts, and more.

From our habitat specialists to our sales and marketing teams, everyone at Environment Bank is a champion for our values, working towards our goal of reversing biodiversity loss.

Environment Bank is a market-leading organisation in a sector that’s experiencing rapid growth. We’ve already built a highly skilled team of experts and we’re actively looking to expand our team in the coming months.

We’re incredibly proud of all we achieved so far and we’re still growing. If you'd like to be part of a driven organisation that's making a real difference, find your next role with the team at Environment Bank.

About the role

At Environment Bank, we adopt AI, machine learning and automation to enhance our ability to restore nature at scale and to empower our people to work more efficiently and insightfully, always in a secure, sustainable, and responsible manner.

The AI Enablement Lead will drive real, practical value from AI tools and platforms across Environment Bank. You'll work with colleagues around the business to understand their process and workflows, and identify where AI, and alternative forms of automation, can genuinely improve efficiency, and collaboratively turn those opportunities into working solutions. The function of the role is to bring the right people together to agree which opportunities are worth pursuing, and giving teams ownership of the solutions, so AI capability grows across the business rather than sitting with one person. This includes training people to use AI tools responsibly, effectively and confidently, prototyping automations that eliminate repetitive work, and developing bespoke internal AI skills and tools, always in service of our core mission to restore nature at scale.

Based in our fully remote Data, Systems & GIS team, you'll be the go-to person for AI knowledge across the business, lead AI knowledge-sharing and a network of AI champions, stay current with platforms and capabilities, all while collaborating seamlessly across a distributed team. The role is remote-first, with travel to run workshops and work with teams in person.

We recognise that women are less likely than men to apply for a role if they do not have experience in all the areas mentioned. The list above is indicative; we would still welcome your application even if you do not have experience in all the listed areas, but think that you could do the job.

Many of us hold back unless we can tick every box. Not because we lack ability, but because we have been conditioned to treat job descriptions as pass or fail criteria rather than a guide.

A gentle reminder for anyone who needs it:

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆.

If you can do the core of the role and you are willing to learn the rest, you are already in the right place to apply.
