The Role
Every piece of content COTH publishes is someone's first encounter with the gospel. A 30-second video might be the thing that stops someone mid-scroll and starts them on a path toward building a real relationship with God. You are the person who makes sure that moment hits as hard as it possibly can.
You are the quality filter between our editors and our audience. You review every short-form video before it goes live and give specific, tactical feedback that elevates it. Not "this needs work." You tell the editor exactly what to fix: the hook is too slow, the text placement blocks the subject at 0:03, the punchline lands at :42 but retention drops at :35 so move it up. Your eye for detail has a direct line to someone's spiritual life. Prove yourself on short-form, and this role expands into long-form video review with increased comp.
What You'll Own

Review ~40 short-form videos/month in Frame.io with timestamped, specific feedback on hooks, pacing, storytelling, text placement, audio, and scroll-stop moments. 90% of your time is here.

Manage your review queue within two-week sprint cycles, ensuring every video gets 1-2 revision rounds before publish

Track content performance across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts and translate data into actionable recommendations ("this hook style averages 2x the retention of our standard openings, let's use it more")
