Sales Director

About Bosta: Launched in 2017, Bosta is an overnight delivery provider for E-commerce companies in Egypt. Leveraging technology to empower businesses is what we do best. Our goal is to disrupt the logistics industry by bringing technology and experience all together to provide a one-stop-shop for delivery solutions.    We rely on advanced technology to deliver orders to our customers in a fast way. Businesses can track and connect with couriers and follow up on their orders - all in one system.

Job Responsibilities:

Win new merchants

• Own the volume and revenue from new merchants against the plan.

• Build and manage the sales pipeline for each segment: key and strategic accounts, growth and expansion, and startups.

• Win back merchants who stopped shipping with Bosta.

• Work with Marketing to turn merchants who sign up on their own into active, growing accounts.

Grow new merchants in their first year

• Make sure every new merchant who qualifies gets an account manager soon after their first shipments.

• Set clear hand-over rules from sales to account management, so no merchant is left without an owner.

• Track how many new merchants are still shipping after their first months, and act early on drop-offs.

Lead and develop the team

• Lead the team leaders, sales people and account managers.

• Set monthly sales targets and decide how many sales people carry a target, within the approved plan.

• Plan hiring with HR, so the account management team grows with the number of new merchants.

• Run the sales incentive scheme and manage performance.

• Keep each team at a size that its leaders can manage well.

Plan and report

• Track pipeline, wins, target achievement and early retention every week and every month, and explain any gap to plan.

• Build the yearly sales plan and the team budget with Finance and HR.

Job Qualifications:

Must have

• 10 or more years in B2B sales or business development, ideally in logistics, e-commerce, payments or software.

• 5 or more years leading sales managers and large sales teams.

• A track record of beating new business targets and building teams fast.

• Strong with data and sales tools: CRM, pipeline reports and dashboards.

• Experience setting sales targets and incentive schemes.

• Fluent Arabic and English.

Good to have

• Experience leading both sales and account management.

• Experience in a fast-growing company.

• A university degree in business or a related field.
