Co-Development Business Unit is hiring for Software Engineer
This is a 24-months fixed term contract.
Location: Punggol Digital District
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team to be part of the O&S team web application development.
What will you do?
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Spring Boot / Node.js
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of system and deployment issues
- Assist in enhancing system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and maintainability
- Implement backend features following established security and development standards
- Work closely with frontend developers for API integration
- Support CI/CD processes and ongoing application development
- Participate in technical discussions and adoption of engineering practices
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- 2–5 years of software development experience
Hands-on experience in:
- Java + Spring Boot
- REST API development
- Basic experience with:
- Node.js
- Maven
Understanding of:
- Databases (SQL / NoSQL)
- Basic application security practices
- Exposure to agile or continuous development environments
- Backend Engineer should also have front end development experience
Preferred
- Candidates with Government / Defence (MINDEF / SAF) project experience advantageous
