TEiC is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Buyer to lead strategic procurement and sourcing activities supporting industrial construction, maintenance, outage, and specialty projects across the power generation and heavy industrial markets.
This is not a transactional purchasing role. We are looking for a procurement professional who can develop sourcing strategies, lead commercial negotiations, manage supplier relationships, mitigate risk, and influence project success from proposal development through project closeout. You will serve as a trusted business partner to project teams and leadership while driving supplier performance, cost competitiveness, schedule execution, and commercial compliance.
What You'll Do
- Lead sourcing and procurement activities for complex materials, equipment, subcontract, and service requirements.
- Develop and execute project-specific sourcing strategies that support cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers and subcontractors while building long-term strategic relationships.
- Lead competitive bid events, commercial evaluations, supplier selection, and award recommendations.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery commitments, and contractual agreements.
- Manage procurement schedules and proactively expedite critical materials, documentation, and services.
- Partner closely with Operations, Estimating, Legal, Finance, Quality, Scheduling, and Project Teams to support proposal development and project execution.
- Resolve supplier performance issues, contract disputes, non-conformances, warranty matters, and commercial risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and supplier performance programs that strengthen procurement effectiveness across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
- 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, subcontracting, or supply chain experience within construction, industrial services, manufacturing, energy, or a related industry.
- Experience independently managing complex procurement activities and commercial negotiations.
