What does it mean to be a Director, Assistant General Counsel at GLS?

The Director, Assistant General Counsel is responsible for providing support to the company’s General Counsel in a variety of legal and compliance related activities. This position will provide legal counsel on contract, litigation, and regulatory matters as well as advise on the legal impact of compliance risks. This position will serve as a legal subject matter expert in the area of consumer and automotive finance regulation, and work closely with the company’s business units in a cross-functional capacity to minimize risk, ensure best practices, and support business growth.

How will you drive value within the organization as a Director, Assistant General Counsel?

• Provide comprehensive legal advice to the business on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management
• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements to ensure they align with the company's interests and comply with relevant laws; Manage and oversee legal review of all contracts with third party vendors; maintain records related to contracts; implement staffing and procedural strategies to streamline efficiency of contract reviews
