Java Developer

5Blue Software is an Israeli-Ukrainian software development company specializing in custom software development, staff augmentation, dedicated engineering teams, AI solutions, and CTO-as-a-Service. We help startups and mid-sized companies scale faster with vetted engineering talent across Europe.

About the project:

Our client is enabling a world where everyone and everything can be intelligently connected. As the world's leading wireless technology innovator, our client continues to push the boundaries of what's possible across devices and networks to enable next-generation experiences and drive digital transformation.

Our client delivers breakthroughs in 5G, Wi-Fi and AI. But that's just the beginning. As a Software Engineer for our client's Edgewise platform, you will join a cutting-edge AI-native development group building cloud-edge software, automation, and optimization applications that help the world's tier-1 cellular network operators improve network performance at scale.

About the role:

This is a senior, architecture-oriented role for an engineer who combines strong hands-on Java development with system-level thinking. We're looking for someone who can own the design of complex, scalable systems end to end, treat AI coding agents as a core part of how they build, and act as a technical leader who continuously brings new approaches to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Design system and service architecture for high-performance, scalable, and reliable software, with a solid understanding of the surrounding infrastructure

• Translate complex and often ambiguous requirements into clear, robust, and scalable technical designs

• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex features and modules — from design through implementation and production

• Work in an AI-native engineering environment: effectively leverage modern coding agents and spec-driven development to accelerate high-quality delivery, and adapt or create solutions using AI tools

• Design and implement complex algorithms

• Provide technical leadership — influence technical decisions, mentor peers, and raise the engineering bar across the team

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems

• Continuously explore, evaluate, and introduce new technologies, tools, and engineering practices
