Qover is seeking a legally trained compliance professional (BA/Master in Law required) to drive regulatory strategy, FSMA/FCA governance, and corporate compliance. Note: This is an advisory & regulatory role, not an operational/KYC transaction processing role.
About Qover & The Role
Qover is a fast-growing, pan-European InsurTech scale-up pioneering embedded insurance. We orchestrate digital insurance programs across multiple territories, empowering leading digital platforms and enterprise partners to seamlessly offer coverage to their customers.
Operating in a dynamic, double-regulated framework, Qover is authorized and supervised as an insurance intermediary by both the Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) in Belgium and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.
Reporting directly to Qover’s General Counsel, with a direct channel to the CEO, you will serve as a core pillar of our LINC (Legal, Insurance & Compliance) team. In this role, you will help maintain, and scale a robust compliance and privacy architecture that supports Qover's commercial growth while navigating complex European (FSMA) and UK (FCA) regulatory requirements.
You will act as a proactive, autonomous problem-solver and pragmatic business partner across the organization, working closely with the Management Team, Product Owners, Operations, and external partners.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Compliance Governance & Monitoring
- Own, track, and execute day-to-day compliance governance tasks across all internal stakeholders
- Reporting & Strategy: Draft quarterly compliance roadmaps, retrospectives, and the annual Compliance Report for the General Counsel and Management Team. Organize and lead the quarterly Compliance Steerco
- Drafting, review and update of compliance policies
Regulatory Reporting & Relations (FSMA & FCA)
- FCA RegData & Connect Reporting: Coordinate and submit mandatory periodic reports (financials, complaints, Appointed Representatives) via FCA RegData and Connect platforms
- FSMA Compliance & Filings: Ensure ongoing compliance with FSMA intermediation requirements, maintain regulatory declarations, and handle exempted ancillaries declarations
- Corporate & Official Filings: Handle official UK Companies House filings (Annual Accounts paperback filings, Director appointments, and Personal Codes) and equivalent corporate maintenance.
Consumer Protection, POG & Fair Value
- Consumer Duty & MI Monitoring: Oversee monthly Consumer Duty MI data pipelines (leveraging automated Dust AI agents), analyze metrics across the FCA’s four outcomes, and drive operational improvements.
