Accountant

At HEN Technologies, we’re building Physical AI for the real world—intelligent systems that sense, understand, and act in high-stakes physical environments. Our first application is transforming fire response: combining advanced fluid dynamics, IoT-enabled hardware, real-world operational data, and AI-powered decision support to help firefighters suppress fires faster, use less water, reduce fatigue, and improve safety. By connecting the physical layer of emergency response with predictive intelligence, HEN is building the infrastructure for a safer, more adaptive future.

Employment Type: Full-time Role

About the Role

We're hiring an Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This is hands-on role supporting day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and the monthly close process, working closely with the Senior Accountant, our outsourced accounting partners, and the India Accounting Lead.

This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in core accounting fundamentals at a fast-growing, venture-backed hardware and technology company — and to grow into a broader accounting role as we scale toward and beyond our Series B.

What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day bookkeeping — assist with AP/AR processing, data entry, invoice matching, and expense coding, maintaining accurate supporting documentation for all entries.

• Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations — draft reconciliations for review by the Senior Accountant, investigating and flagging discrepancies.

• Support the monthly close — prepare assigned journal entries and schedules, help maintain the close calendar, and track outstanding items through to closure.

• Assist with MIS reporting — pull and organize data for variance analysis, departmental cost reports, and KPI dashboards.

• Support ERP migration activities — help with data entry, cleanup and testing activities with the Senior Accountant and the outsourced accounting firm.

• Support compliance and audit — gather supporting documentation for statutory filings and audit requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or commerce; pursuing CA/CMA/ACCA is a plus.

• 2-3 years of accounting experience (internship or article ship experience welcome); exposure to a high-growth technology, hardware, or manufacturing company is a plus.
