Account Development Representative

About Rescale

Rescale is pioneering the future of engineering and scientific discovery. As the leader in digital engineering, we are transforming how products are developed through intelligent automation, applied AI, data management, and access to the world’s largest network of engineering and R&D applications.

Joining Rescale means becoming part of a diverse, collaborative, and mission-driven team that helps companies innovate faster across industries including automotive, aerospace, energy, life sciences, and manufacturing. We solve complex challenges that traditional high-performance computing cannot, and we are looking for passionate, curious people to help build the next wave of engineering breakthroughs.

The Role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Account Development Representative to join our EMEA team.

This is a full-cycle inside sales role. You will own the commercial process from qualifying inbound and outbound leads, researching and developing opportunities, and making cold calls through to running sales conversations, negotiating, closing, and ensuring the deal is accurately processed in Rescale’s internal systems.

You will focus on commercial and corporate customers across Northern Europe. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who wants to build a strong foundation, take meaningful ownership, and grow within our team over the coming years.

You will be supported by our lead-generation and broader sales organization, but you will be expected to create a pipeline, develop your territory, and build your own book of business. Entrepreneurial self-starters who combine persistence with thoughtful, customer-focused selling thrive at Rescale.

Our HPC and AI Solution Portfolio

You will help customers understand how Rescale’s portfolio can support the evolution of their engineering and R&D organizations—from scalable compute foundations to AI-driven engineering workflows. You will develop the commercial and technical fluency to identify where each solution creates value and how customers can expand their use of Rescale over time:

• HPC Foundations: Help customers access, manage, and scale the high-performance computing infrastructure required for demanding engineering and scientific workloads.

• Advanced Modeling & Simulation: Support engineering teams running sophisticated simulation and modeling workflows across disciplines, applications, and distributed environments.

• Agentic Engineering: Introduce intelligent, software-driven workflows that help engineering teams automate activities, connect tools and data, and accelerate the path from engineering question to result.

• AI Physics: Help customers explore AI-enabled approaches that combine physics, simulation, and machine learning to improve engineering speed, insight, and decision-making.

The opportunity is not limited to selling individual products. You will help customers identify the right starting point, create value quickly, and expand from foundational HPC into higher-value modeling, agentic, and AI-powered engineering capabilities.

What You Will Do

• Qualify inbound leads and develop outbound opportunities through research, prospecting, email, social selling, and cold calling.

• Manage the full sales cycle for commercial and corporate accounts, from first conversation through qualification, discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close.

• Build and execute a territory plan for Northern Europe, with clear account priorities, activity plans, and quarterly objectives.

• Sell Rescale’s technology to engineers, IT specialists, R&D leaders, and senior business stakeholders by connecting technical capabilities to business outcomes.

• Conduct customer meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, and discovery sessions that establish credibility and advance opportunities.

• Develop new customer relationships while expanding ongoing revenue streams within existing accounts.

• Work with partners and internal teams, including Marketing, Business Development, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Operations, to progress and close opportunities.

• Accurately maintain account, contact, opportunity, activity, forecast, and deal information in Rescale’s internal systems, including CRM and order-processing workflows.

• Coordinate the steps required to process closed deals accurately and efficiently, ensuring that commercial information is complete and handoffs are clear.

• Own accurate forecasting and provide regular updates, including commit, most likely, best-case, and pipeline views, to create transparency across the business.

• Collaborate with colleagues across Northern Europe and the UK, and contribute to a high-performing, team-oriented sales culture.

Success Measures

• Build a healthy, qualified pipeline through a balanced mix of inbound follow-up, outbound prospecting, and account development.

• Consistently achieve quarterly and annual bookings targets.

• Convert qualified opportunities into new customers and expansion revenue.

• Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts, and internal deal records.

• Create a strong customer experience from the first interaction through the completed order and internal handoff.

The role has an uncapped annual target of $1M. Approximately 20–40% of the business may be managed with partners in Europe, creating an opportunity to build leverage through the partner ecosystem.

What Will Make You Successful

• Entrepreneurship: You take initiative, create opportunities, and want to build something over time rather than wait for instructions.

• Hustle: You are energized by prospecting, customer conversations, and creating new business.

• Grit: You handle setbacks constructively and persist through complex sales cycles.

• Ownership: You take responsibility for your territory, pipeline, forecast, customer relationships, and results.

• Customer focus: You listen carefully, understand business needs, and connect customer challenges to practical solutions.

• Learning agility: You are curious about engineering, technology, AI, cloud computing, and new ways of working.

• Team mindset: You collaborate well, share information, and help the broader team succeed.

• Long-term ambition: You are motivated to grow your sales career within Rescale and take on broader or more strategic responsibilities over time.

Key Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inside sales, account development, business development, or full-cycle sales, preferably selling complex technical products or services.

• Experience qualifying leads, conducting outbound prospecting and cold calling, developing opportunities, and closing business.

• A background in engineering, computer science, R&D, technology, or a related field is helpful but not required.

• Comfortable working with Salesforce or a similar CRM system, with a disciplined approach to maintaining accurate records.

• Strong discovery, communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

• Ability to build trusted one-to-one relationships with engineers, technical stakeholders, and business leaders.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.

• Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.

• Fluency in one of the following languages is a strong advantage: Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, or Finnish.

• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and modern sales technologies.

• Based in Northern Europe and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the region.
