We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day equipment maintenance operations in a thin-film PV manufacturing environment, working directly under the supervision of the Maintenance Engineer / Manager. This hands-on role focuses on executing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring high equipment uptime across production tools including vacuum systems, robotics, conveyors, and process equipment. The ideal candidate has a solid background in semiconductor or cleanroom maintenance, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability.
What you'll be doing:
-
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance (PM) on sputter systems, laser trim equipment, photolithography tools, wet etch, electrical plating tools, and assembly packaging equipment.
-
Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
-
Operate and maintain robotics, conveyors, industrial ovens, cryogenic components, vacuum hoses, bearings, and chain drives in a cleanroom environment.
-
Log all maintenance activities in the system including work orders, asset tracking, and maintenance history.
-
Support equipment calibration and process stabilization to improve production efficiency and minimize downtime.
-
Follow all lockout/tagout, EHS, and cleanroom protocols during maintenance activities.
-
Coordinate with the Maintenance Engineer / Manager on scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities.
-
Support equipment installation, commissioning, and line expansion projects as needed.
What you will bring to this role:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical technology preferred.
