Essential Duties
Both the Associate and Intermediate Systems Administrator - WSMT-Server will:
- Maintain smooth operation of multi user computer systems and coordinate activities with network engineers
- Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk utilization, and response times to ensure optimal performance
- Perform system security administration tasks such as creating and managing user profiles and accounts
- Set up administrator accounts and maintain accurate, up to date system documentation
- Tune and optimize system performance across servers and applications
- Install and manage system wide software and allocate mass storage resources
- Interact with users to resolve issues and gather requirements
- Evaluate vendor products and provide recommendations for hardware and software purchases
- Coordinate installation of new hardware and software solutions
- Provide system backup and recovery support to ensure data integrity and availability
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and standards for the allocation and use of computing resources
