- Manage contractors and service providers to ensure safe execution, quality delivery, and adherence to schedule and budget
- Support project execution and operational readiness (commissioning support, change management, and cross-functional coordination)
- Develop teams through coaching, competency development, and structured performance management
- Prepare clear operational reporting for leadership, governance, and statutory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy/Mineral Processing, HSE, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience for certain operations/maintenance leadership roles)
- Typically 5–12+ years of progressive experience in mining, minerals processing, quarrying/aggregates, or heavy industrial environments
- Practical working knowledge of MHSA expectations and strong safety leadership, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigation
- Experience in one or more of the following: operations leadership, technical services, mine planning/scheduling, processing optimisation, maintenance/reliability, projects, or HSE systems
