Product Designer

_Shape how millions of people experience technology.
_

At Povio, we build digital products that create a positive impact. From data-heavy dashboards to consumer apps loved by millions, great design is at the core of everything we ship. As an agency that is always interested in the cutting edge, AI is part of how we work and what we build. We're looking for someone who designs with AI, and wants to be a part of where it's taking product design.

We started our journey at Y Combinator, the accelerator behind Airbnb, Dropbox, and Stripe. Since then, we've partnered with clients like Volkswagen, Serena Williams, the founder of Reddit, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

We’re looking for a Product Designer who is a true generalist across UX and UI. Someone who can own the full design process independently, communicate clearly with clients in English, bring strong UX foundations alongside solid visual UI sensibility, and feel comfortable leveraging modern AI tools to enhance their design workflow.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in product design for web or mobile applications.
• A team-first mindset: open to feedback, collaborative, and invested in the team's success.
• Fluency with AI tools in your daily workflow - strong foundation in AI-assisted prototyping, faster UI and UX exploration, designing and maintaining AI-driven design systems.
• Clear communication in English: you will work directly with international clients and teams every day, both written and spoken.
• A portfolio that shows both UX thinking and UI quality: we want to see how you solve problems and how your final screens look.
• High Figma proficiency. You know how to get the most out of Figma, including the latest features such as auto layout and variables.
• Solo ownership: you manage your own process, communicate proactively, and deliver without needing hand-holding.

What You'll Do

• Own the full design process end to end, from UX research and information architecture through to high-fidelity UI and engineering handoff, using AI to accelerate every stage.
• Design visually engaging interfaces for websites, dashboards, web and mobile applications, with a strong focus on UI quality and visual craft.
• Translate client vision into intuitive user experiences, taking high solo ownership of your projects from kickoff to delivery.
• Stay at the front of product design, AI tooling, emerging interaction patterns  and bring new ideas back to the team.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and pixel-perfect high-fidelity designs in Figma.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to move from concept to polished UI faster, streamline your workflow, and bring a modern edge to how you work.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams to define requirements and deliver polished solutions.
• Communicate your design decisions clearly and confidently to clients and internal stakeholders in English.
• Contribute to building and maintaining scalable design systems.
• Conduct UX/UI audits and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prototype, iterate, and ship fast, building AI-powered prototypes and functional concepts that clients can actually test.

What We Offer

• Work on high-impact projects for world-leading companies, from Silicon Valley startups to global names like Volkswagen, Serena Williams, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
• A team of 15+ designers who are passionate, driven, and genuinely invested in each other's growth.
• Regular 1:1s with your lead for honest feedback in both directions and real space to grow.
• A design-led culture where your decisions are respected and your craft is taken seriously.
• Access to a wide range of AI tools and paid licenses like Claude Code, Bolt, Replit, Relume, ChatGPT, Figma AI... - with the freedom to experiment with new workflows, and suggest new ones that work best for you.
• Room to expand your skills, whether that's deepening your UX expertise, leveling up your UI, or exploring AI-driven workflows.
• A hybrid setup in our Ljubljana office with flexible working hours.
• Competitive compensation that reflects your experience and grows with your contributions.
• A pet-friendly workplace, because furry friends make everything better.
