Business Development Director

From the beginning, Soni Resources Group has believed one thing: having the best people in the business is the only sustainable competitive advantage. We didn’t just believe it, we proved it. Founded in 2016 by Sid Soni with a single mission to build the highest per-desk average human capital firm in staffing, Soni has grown into a place where elite producers come to do the best work of their careers.

We deliver talent solutions that move businesses forward - faster, smarter, and with more precision than anyone else in our space. We don’t just fill roles. We solve problems, build teams, and create the human infrastructure that allows organizations to realize their greatest potential.

The Opportunity

This is not an entry-level role and it's not for someone looking to learn the basics. The Business Development Director for our A+F Strategic group is a high-impact, coast to coast, revenue-generating position for a proven producer who is ready to own a market, build a book of business, and operate with the autonomy that comes from having already earned it.

You will be the tip of the spear for Soni's growth; identifying opportunities, winning new clients, and deepening relationships that drive long-term revenue. If you've been producing at a high level and feel like your current platform is holding you back, this is the conversation you should be having.

What You'll Do

• Own Your Market: Develop and execute a targeted outbound strategy to identify, engage, and close new client relationships within your designated vertical and geography
• Build a Book of Business: Drive net new revenue through cold outreach, relationship-building, strategic account mapping, and consultative selling - from first conversation to signed contract
• Grow Existing Accounts: Identify cross-selling opportunities within Soni's 1,500+ signed client base and deepen relationships to expand wallet share
• Operate as a Consultant: Position yourself as a trusted market advisor - bringing industry insights, compensation data, and workforce intelligence to every client conversation
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner tightly with recruiting teams to ensure client needs are met with speed, precision, and the right talent
• Pipeline with Discipline: Maintain a rigorous, data-driven approach to pipeline management using CRM and AI tools — tracking activity, forecasting revenue, and optimizing your strategy in real time
• Represent the Brand: Show up as a senior representative of Soni in the market - at client meetings, industry events, and every touchpoint in between

What You'll Bring

• 6+ Years of Experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within staffing industry or related field
• A Proven Production Record: You've carried a quota, hit it, and exceeded it. You can show your numbers and you're proud of them
• Hunter Mentality: You build pipeline from scratch. You don't wait for inbound leads, you create your own opportunities through outbound discipline and relentless follow-through
• Consultative Selling Skills: You listen before you pitch. You diagnose before you prescribe. You win trust before you win business
• Market Intelligence: Familiarity with the Accounting & Finance, or professional services talent landscape is a strong advantage
• Radical Communication: You're direct, credible, and confident at every level - from hiring managers to C-suite stakeholders
• Coachability: You welcome honest feedback, apply it fast, and hold yourself to a higher standard than anyone else would
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred

Why Soni?

• Uncapped Earning Potential: Competitive base salary tied to your experience and track record. No hidden draws. Earn up to 40% on direct hire and 24% on contract placements. Top performers earn discretionary bonuses up to 45% of base
• Elite Peer Group: You will work alongside the best producers in the staffing industry - people who challenge you, support you, and refuse to let you settle
• Rapid Career Trajectory: We grow fast and promote from within. Any role is a launching pad, not a landing spot
