Account Executive

Turn conversations into contracts—and help open new markets for a growing SaaS business.

Our client is looking for a commercially driven Account Executive who enjoys the challenge of building something from the ground up: finding the right prospects, starting meaningful conversations, creating opportunities, and turning qualified leads into new business.

This is a hands-on hunter role for someone who is comfortable with outbound sales and wants real ownership across the early-to-mid stages of the sales cycle.

Why This Opportunity Matters

You won't simply be managing an existing book of accounts.

You'll be responsible for creating the pipeline that fuels growth across your assigned region. From researching target companies and identifying decision-makers to conducting discovery calls, presenting solutions, negotiating, and closing, you'll have a direct role in winning new clients.

Our client's solutions are delivered primarily through annual subscription products, giving organizations access to proprietary data, intelligence, and insights, with consulting services available where relevant.

You'll also work alongside dedicated Client Operations teams that handle proposal support, onboarding, and renewals—allowing you to stay focused on what you do best: **prospecting, progressing opportunities, and winning new business.

About Our Client

Our client operates in the SaaS and information services space, providing subscription-based access to proprietary data, intelligence, and insights, alongside a smaller consulting offering.

The commercial team works across markets and territories, combining sales, marketing, subject-matter expertise, and client operations to bring solutions to new customers and expand the company's reach.

As part of the sales team, you'll have exposure to international markets and the opportunity to contribute to the development of new territories.

What You'll Own

In this role, you'll take ownership of the activities that turn a target market into a qualified sales pipeline.

You'll:

• Research target accounts, identify relevant decision-makers, and build targeted prospect lists.
• Generate new business through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking events, and referrals.
• Qualify prospects and develop early-stage opportunities into meaningful sales conversations.
• Conduct discovery calls and meetings to understand client challenges and connect them with relevant solutions.
• Present and demonstrate products and services to key decision-makers.
• Manage your pipeline in Salesforce, keeping opportunity stages, values, probabilities, and sales activity accurately updated.
• Take ownership of selected opportunities from initial contact through contract signature.
• Negotiate with prospects and work toward consistently achieving monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
• Partner with Marketing on campaigns and lead-generation initiatives.
• Prepare detailed briefs for the Deals Desk covering client objectives, requirements, stakeholders, budget considerations, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal subject-matter experts when specialist product, data, or consulting input is required.
• Ensure newly signed clients are handed over smoothly to the Client Operations team.
• Share market feedback and competitive intelligence with leadership.
• Contribute to quarterly and annual sales plans and help identify opportunities for new territories.
• Represent the company at relevant regional and national events.
• Maintain a professional presence on LinkedIn and other relevant social platforms to engage prospects and strengthen brand awareness.

You'll Thrive in This Role If...

You're a B2B sales professional with 2–4 years of experience who genuinely enjoys the hunt.

You don't wait for leads to arrive—you know how to research a market, find the right people, start conversations from cold, and consistently follow up until an opportunity either progresses or is qualified out.

You'll be especially successful if you have:

• Experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, or a similar commercial role.
• A proven ability to develop opportunities from cold or early-stage prospects.
• Experience selling SaaS, data, intelligence, research, information services, or subscription-based solutions.
• Strong communication skills across telephone, email, virtual meetings, and face-to-face conversations.
• The ability to conduct effective discovery conversations and communicate value to decision-makers.
• Strong research, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Good organization and the discipline to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups.
• Experience working with a CRM; Salesforce experience is a plus.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive and commercially minded approach, with the persistence and curiosity required to build relationships and create opportunities where they don't already exist.

What You'll Get to Build

This role gives you the opportunity to develop your experience across the full new-business sales journey—from account research and outbound prospecting through discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, Marketing, the Deals Desk, subject-matter experts, and Client Operations, giving you exposure to different parts of an international commercial organization.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to new-territory expansion, making this a role where your pipeline-building efforts can extend beyond individual deals and contribute to broader market growth.
