We're looking for a Scientific Engagement Specialist to build deep relationships with Quandela's academic and scientific users, and help researchers successfully use our quantum computing technology for meaningful research. You'll act as the bridge between external researchers and Quandela's internal scientific and technical expertise, while also owning technical learning content and research-oriented community development.
Your Key Responsibilities

- Understand researchers' objectives, algorithms, and workflows; provide first-level scientific guidance and connect them with Quandela experts when deeper expertise is needed.
- Track research activity (projects, QPU usage, publications) and help researchers progress from experimentation to substantive projects and advocacy.
- Capture emerging scientific needs and translate research-community feedback into recommendations for Product and R&D teams.
- Create technically accurate learning content for the Quandela Hub Training Centre (tutorials, courses, notebooks, demos).
- Organise and contribute to research workshops, technical webinars and scientific community events, including at academic conferences.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in quantum computing, quantum information, physics, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline (PhD preferred but not required).
- + 3 years of relevant experience, including meaningful research experience in quantum computing, quantum information, quantum physics, quantum algorithms or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of quantum computing fundamentals, with the ability to read scientific papers and engage in technical discussions.
- Experience conducting research in an academic, industrial or applied R&D environment.
