AML Auditor

Job Summary 

The Senior AML Auditor is responsible for conducting risk-based audits of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and Targeted Financial Sanctions (TFS) controls to evaluate compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies. The role includes planning audit assignments, performing fieldwork, documenting findings, preparing reports, and supporting the continuous enhancement of the AML control environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Audit Planning  

• Participate in the planning of AML audit engagements.  

• Prepare audit planning documents, risk assessments, and audit programs.  

• Identify key AML and compliance risks.  

• Define audit scope and testing strategies.  

Audit Execution 

Perform audit testing over: 

• AML Governance Framework.  

• Customer Due Diligence (CDD).  

• Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD

• Know Your Customer (KYC)

• Customer Risk Rating.  

• Transaction Monitoring.  

• Sanctions Screening.  

• Name Screening.  

• High-Risk Customers.  

• Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).  

• Correspondent Banking.  

• Suspicious Transaction Reporting.  

• AML Systems and Controls.  

• Record Retention.  

• AML Training and Awareness.  

• Risk Assessment Review 

• Assess the effectiveness of: 

• Business Risk Assessment methodology.  

• Customer, Product, Geographic, and Delivery Channel Risk Assessments.  

• Risk identification processes.  

• Risk mitigation controls.  

• Control effectiveness and residual risk assessments.
