Environmental & Sustainability Advisor

Company Description

Help shape the environmental future of a global business in transition.

Radius started life above a hairdressing salon in Cheshire in 1990. Today, we're a global technology and mobility business supporting more than 445,000 customers across 19 countries and almost 3,000 employees worldwide.

As the mobility industry evolves from traditional fuels to EV, alternative fuels and low-carbon solutions, we're helping businesses navigate that transition. With EV charging volumes growing rapidly and more than 900,000 charging connections across our network, sustainability is becoming increasingly central to everything we do.

That's why we're looking for an Environmental & Sustainability Senior Advisor to join our Sustainability & ESG team in Crewe.

This is a newly created role and a unique opportunity to take ownership of our environmental management framework, help shape our sustainability reporting approach, and build expertise at the forefront of environmental regulation, carbon management and low-carbon mobility.

Working closely with our Climate Change & Environment Manager, you'll have the support, exposure and autonomy to make a real impact from day one.

• Managing our Environmental Legal Register and tracking changing legislation across multiple jurisdictions
• Monitoring emerging environmental, energy and EV legislation across the UK and Europe
• Building relationships across the business to drive environmental awareness, engagement and continuous improvement

Sustainability Reporting

• Coordinating carbon footprint data and becoming a key user of Watershed, one of the world's leading carbon accounting platforms
• Supporting mandatory sustainability reporting requirements, including CSRD, SECR, ESOS and related frameworks

Mobility and Automotive

• Track and keep up to date with relevant key legislation and regulations affecting the mobility and automotive sectors (e.g. the upcoming bans on the sale of ICE vehicles).
• Track and keep up to date with energy and EV regulation affecting the Group, including UK and EU developments such as the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) and EV charging standards.

Qualifications

• Around 4-5 years' experience in environmental or sustainability-focused roles
• Hands-on experience working with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience gathering and analysing environmental or carbon-related data
