Fellow is the AI meeting assistant that helps teams turn conversations into decisions and action, built from the ground up with privacy and security in mind.
We are looking for a full-stack Software Engineer to join our Engineering team and help build the core Fellow experience. You will work across the stack, from APIs and data models to polished product experiences, owning features from early idea through production and iteration.
This is a role for someone who likes shipping. You will work closely with Product and Design, move quickly from ambiguous problems to working software, and stay close to how people actually use what you build. We care about good judgment, thoughtful execution, and finding the highest-leverage path to a great outcome.
It is also an AI-native role. We use tools like Claude Code and Cursor throughout the development process, and we are looking for an engineer who thrives with this way of working. You should be excited to push beyond default workflows, experiment with new ways of building software, and use AI with the judgment required to ship high-quality production code.
What you will do
-
Build and ship product features end to end across React, TypeScript, Django, Python, GraphQL, and the systems around them.
-
Take ownership of meaningful product areas, from understanding the problem and shaping the technical approach through implementation, rollout, monitoring, and iteration.
-
Partner closely with Product and Design to turn broad ideas into simple, polished experiences that people genuinely enjoy using.
-
Move quickly without losing sight of quality, writing thoughtful tests, reviewing code carefully, and keeping performance, reliability, and maintainability in mind.
-
Dig into real-world problems and user feedback, trace issues to their root cause, and turn what you learn into durable improvements.
-
Write and refine technical plans, break ambiguous work into practical pieces, and make good trade-offs when there is no perfect answer.
-
Use AI coding agents deeply in your daily workflow, and help develop new tools, prompts, workflows, and practices that materially improve how the team builds software.
-
Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and shared engineering practices while learning from the people around you and helping others do their best work.
-
Help shape what we build next as Fellow continues evolving.
Success means shipping useful things quickly, making the product noticeably better, and leaving the codebase and the way we work stronger than you found them.
