About Tessera Labs
Tessera Labs is redefining how enterprises adop and operationalize Artificial Intelligence. Backed by Foundation and with a recent $60M Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), we build multi-agent AI Systems that automate complex business workflows across platforms like SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake, Databricks and more.
Our mission: bring real AI automation to the enterprise - with speed and precision and measurable impact. We move fast, operate with extreme ownership, and build at the frontier of applied AI.
About the role
We're hiring a Full Stack Software Engineering Intern to help build Tessera Mosaic, where AI agents work alongside people to transform how enterprises operate. You'll help drive product problems end to end, from interfaces for understanding and controlling agents to the data and backend systems that power them.
You'll work closely with product and design, with real ownership over what we build and how we build it. If you enjoy turning ambiguous problems into polished products, you can have an outsized impact on a platform that's still early. You can lean toward frontend or backend depending on your preference, or do both.
What you'll do
-
Build product features in React and TypeScript on the frontend and/or Python on the backend, including APIs, data models, and services.
-
Take problems from a rough starting point to shipped: figure out what's actually being asked, dig into the data and code, propose an approach, and build it.
-
Build the tools that make AI agents understandable and controllable for the people using them: seeing what an agent is doing, reviewing its work, and stepping in when needed.
-
Work with data from systems like SAP, Salesforce, and Oracle, including their complex data models and real-world edge cases.
-
Partner with product and design to question assumptions, shape solutions, get feedback early, and iterate.
What we're looking for
-
Strong product sense. You think about the people using what you build and have ideas about how to make it better, whether you're working on the frontend or the backend.
-
Experience building software, through class projects, side projects, or a previous internship. Any language is fine.
-
You learn quickly and can make progress on a problem without being told exactly what to do. We care far more about how fast you're growing than where you're starting.
-
Some comfort with data, like SQL and how tables relate to each other, and a willingness to learn whatever a feature needs, from the database to the UI.
