The What
You’re not looking for a role where leadership pulls you away from engineering. You want to stay close to the work — designing features, guiding technical decisions, and helping a team consistently deliver software they’re proud of.
We’re looking for a Technical Lead who combines strong engineering craft with the ability to bring people along with them. This is a technical leadership role where you’ll guide engineering direction, support delivery, and help engineers grow, while partnering closely with an Engineering Manager who looks after formal people leadership.
You’ll lead a team of 5 - 8 engineers responsible for building and delivering meaningful features. Your role is to create clarity, maintain engineering quality, and ensure the team has the technical direction it needs to move with confidence. The problems here sit where customer needs meet engineering execution — turning ideas into reliable, well-designed software that improves real user experiences.
What This Role Really Is
You’re the engineer who helps the team do their best work.
- Guide engineers through complex feature development
- Create clarity around technical approaches and trade-offs
- Balance delivery momentum with long-term maintainability
- Mentor engineers and grow technical confidence within the team
- Connect engineering work to the outcomes it creates for customers
- You help the team move forward when things feel uncertain, and raise the standard of engineering through example.
This role is about technical leadership through craft, trust, and collaboration.
The Work
This isn’t ticket management. It’s technical ownership of team delivery.
- Design and deliver robust features in C# / .NET
- Guide technical decisions and architecture within your team
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering Managers on delivery priorities
- Review code and mentor engineers to strengthen engineering quality
- Identify risks early and help the team navigate them
- Encourage strong engineering practices across design, testing, and deployment
You’ll stay hands-on when it matters, while helping the team build momentum and confidence in the work they deliver.
