What’s it like to work at BAE Systems? It’s the feeling of knowing your code and calculations are directly securing the future of national defense on one of the most complex "mega-projects" in the world.
Our systems engineering team provides the strategic oversight and digital architecture needed to modernize the U.S. ICBM weapon system. As a Support Equipment Senior Systems Engineer, you will embark on a long-term career dedicated to the Sentinel program, ensuring the critical ground support infrastructure is ready for the next generation of ballistic missiles. In this job, you will use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to evaluate the design of Major Maintenance Vehicles and other essential support equipment.
Your Responsibilities
As a Support Equipment Senior Systems Engineer, your primary goal is to provide expert guidance and oversight throughout the acquisition lifecycle—from initial planning and development to testing and sustainment. Your day-to-day functions will include:
-
Architecture Development: Creating and reviewing MBSE architecture products using tools like Cameo, DOORS, and SysML.
-
Design Oversight: Reviewing support equipment design, production, and testing documentation to ensure technical suitability.
-
