Company Introduction
Coupang is reimagining the shopping experience with the goal of wowing each customer from the instant they open the Coupang app to the moment an order is delivered to their door.
Our services in Taiwan include “Rocket Delivery” which offers next-day delivery for a wide selection of items at affordable prices, “Rocket Oversea” which offers free international delivery on millions of best-selling products from Korea, the U.S., and beyond.
We are looking for talents to help us lead Coupang’s expansion in Taiwan. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a part of Coupang’s growth in Taiwan and create a world where our customers wonder, “How did I ever live without Coupang?”
Role Overview
The Taiwan team is super excited to bring the selection, price, and convenience of Coupang to customers in Taiwan. As we rapidly scale this highly visible new market, we are looking for smart and driven leaders who want to solve tough problems and make a meaningful impact on the lives of customers and delivery partners in Taiwan.
The Last Mile Capacity Planning team is a critical pillar in Coupang’s fulfillment network, managing volume forecasting, carrier capacity allocation, and delivery partner performance across our expanding delivery operations. The team works closely with cross-functional partners including Linehaul, Supply Chain, Commercial, Product, Program, and Finance to ensure scalable delivery coverage, high SLA fulfillment, and optimal unit economics.
What You Will Do
- Work backwards from customer delivery speed commitments to design, build, and execute robust last-mile capacity and volume allocation models across Taiwan nodes.
- Own short-term and long-term volume forecasting and tender planning to maintain target Plan vs. Actual volume variances across internal and delivery partner networks.
- Drive delivery partner performance management, establishing strict contractual SLAs, capacity tender acceptance targets, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with delivery camp operations to reduce driver dwell time, streamline staging/dispatch, and optimize camp capacity and fixed overhead absorption.
- Utilize deep data analytics to identify root causes of delivery failures, volume bottlenecks, and carrier capacity dropouts, developing automated and scalable solutions.
- Define and implement operational threshold bands (Green/Yellow/Red trigger frameworks) for volume surges, peak readiness, and SLA breaches to safeguard customer experience.
- Partner with Product, Tech, and BI teams to continuously improve forecasting algorithms, tender automation systems, and last-mile operational dashboards.
