At FuturHealth, we're on a mission to create a product where every individual feels inspired and empowered to confidently take charge of their wellbeing. We believe in and are dedicated to offering personalized and holistic approaches to combat health concerns.

Operating at the intersection of health and technology, we provide a comprehensive range of services, including telemedicine, personalized nutrition plans, medication delivery, and insurance solutions. We believe that wellbeing is deeply personal, and the path to becoming the best version of yourself is paved with progress, not perfection. Our central focus is on utilizing scientifically-proven prescriptions and telehealth initiatives to tackle obesity head-on.

The Mission

Money is where patient care gets complicated. A titration upgrade, a renewal, a plan change — every one of them has to resolve into the right charge, the right credit, the right event, every time, or a patient's medication doesn't ship. Your mission is to own that correctness end to end: from the payments service and subscription/renewal logic through the checkout and account screens patients actually see. You're not choosing between backend and frontend — you're closing the loop between them, because in payments the two are the same problem.

What You'll Actually Do

• Own the Money Logic: Build and maintain the subscription, renewal, and credit-ledger machinery in our payments service — the system that decides what a patient owes, what they've already covered, and what happens next.
• Close the Loop to the Patient: Take ownership from the API through the checkout and account UI — multi-offer screens, credit displays, payment steps — so what the backend calculates is exactly what the patient sees and confirms.
• Guard the Signal: Every transaction has to emit the right payment event — that event is what releases medication. You'll treat event correctness and webhook reliability as core to the job, not an afterthought.
• Test Like It's Load-Bearing: You'll build automated coverage as you go, not after — payment logic has too many edge cases (partial credits, multi-cycle renewals, plan changes) to trust to manual QA alone.
• Work the Seam with Medical: Payments and Medical engineering share real surface area — titration, refills, and plan changes all touch both. You'll partner directly with the Medical team where the two domains meet, without needing a hard line drawn between them.

Who You Are

• A True Full-Stack Engineer: Equally comfortable in a Go service and a React/React Native screen — you don't wait for someone else to close the last mile to the user.
• Testing-Minded by Instinct: You write the test alongside the code because you don't trust yourself not to, not because a process told you to.
• Comfortable with Financial Correctness: You understand that "close enough" doesn't work when money and medication are both on the line — you sweat the edge cases others skip.
• A Proactive Owner: You navigate ambiguity, dig into root cause, and propose the path forward rather than waiting for a fully groomed ticket.
• A Generalist by Choice: You'd rather be the person who can pick up whatever the problem needs than stay in one lane — this role rewards that instinct directly.
• Fluent with Modern Tools: You know how to use AI-assisted engineering tools to move faster without cutting corners — you treat them as part of your craft, not a shortcut around it.

The Stack

• Backend: Go, Temporal, Google Cloud Functions (TypeScript), Postgres.
• Frontend: React, React Native.
• Infra/Observability: GCP, Datadog.
